Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed giving and receiving.  A tradition in our house is to put up all the Christmas decorations Thanksgiving night. But we do not buy any decorations (unless it is absolutely necessary) before Christmas. I wait till it all goes on sale the day after Christmas. JCPenney beat them all this year! Most stores will put their Christmas decor on sale for 50% off the day after and then slowly increase the savings the later it gets. But this year JCPenney had everything 75% off the day after Christmas PLUS an additional $10 off if you spent $50 or more and $15 off if you spent $75 or more. They opened their doors at 5:30 AM and I was there at 6:30 AM. I got $180 worth of merchandise for only $47! I was VERY excited!

Then we went to Target and their merchandise was only 50% off so we did not get as much, but we did grab a few things. We were told that today Target would be marking their stuff way down to try to get rid of it, but I doubt we’ll go back.

Wal-Mart was another great place to get Christmas deals. They already have good prices to begin with and then had marked all Christmas decor 50% off. This is where we purchased a lot of our outdoor decor. But I also got a lot of gift bags that were not “Christmas” looking that were 50% off (only about $1 to begin with).

So I think I broke the bank, but if you find any more great deals, let me know! I’m always up for a good bargain!
